Theatre Explorers Conservatory is a theatre arts training program that offers children, teens, and adults exposure to the studies of dramatic, creative and formal drama. It was created to allow each participant the opportunity to gain a better insight into the mastery of self-expression through a natural channeling of its imaginative powers. The program is designed to train and educate interested students in the art, craft, and techniques of theatre and its surrounding disciplines. The after school and evening courses are offered with concentration in DEVELOPMENT and PERFORMANCE. Our goal is in providing each student with the comfort of knowing that their talents will be in a supportive, encouraging, non-competitive, educational, and safe environment. Courses are offered in a Dramatic Play, Creative Drama, or Formal Drama format. Courses through Dramatic Play include Imagination and Role Playing. Courses through Creative Drama include Acting Basics and Theatre Introduction. Courses through Formal Drama include Improv Performance, Advanced Acting, and Musical Theatre. These courses are offered in order to better prepare each child for the theatre arts industry. The program is offered on a three month cycle resulting in three ten week terms. Terms are divided up into Fall (Sept-Nov.), Winter (Dec.-Feb.), and Spring (March-May). Classes offered include:
Staffing consists of professional artists with extensive teaching experience. All of the instructors have a background in the performing arts and experience in working with students. They are personally selected on their skills and interest in teaching their craft.
