            ROOTS

The Organization was created/founded in 2001 by Adrian J. Gutierrez with a mission of forming a coalition of children and adult actors, and create a developmental exchange of talent in which they can explore and improve their artistic minds. For the past fourteen years Mr. Gutierrez has served as an active thespian and arts advocate educating our society on the importance of the arts in our lives. He developed and initiated this organization with the purpose of opening the doors to talented individuals that have the need of expanding and growing within their craft.

TIMELINE

Since its inception, The Theatre Institute of South Florida (TTI) has…produced several main stage productions throughout the South Florida area, provided artistic and after school services for local middle and elementary schools, provided theatre programming for children ages 6-16 at several locations, and performed at local special events throughout Miami-Dade County. From 2001-2003 TTI began by offering classes at several locations like Miami Museum of Science and New Image Dance Center. In 2003, TTI solidified its classes and started a conservatory program at the Hebrew Academy in Miami Beach. From 2004-2006, TTI grew and became the resident theatre company at the Miami Children’s Museum providing its company, conservatory, and special event programs, along with it’s mainstage series productions. Now in 2007, TTI’s programs have grown even bigger and will operate at the Hialeah High Performing Arts Center offering its company program and presenting their mainstage productions, on top of providing several outreach programs throughout South Florida.
